Loudoun General District Court Records

The Loudoun County General District Court is part of the 20th Judicial District. It handles traffic violations, misdemeanor criminal cases, civil claims up to $25,000, and preliminary hearings for felony charges before they go to the Circuit Court. Small claims cases up to $5,000 can also be filed in this court. Getting Copies of Loudoun Court Records

Copies of court records from the Loudoun County Clerk's office cost $0.50 per page. Certified copies, which carry the deputy clerk's signature and seal, have an additional $2.00 fee per document. Triple-seal copies signed by both the Clerk and a judge cost an additional $2.50 per document. These fees apply to court records, land documents, and most other official files maintained by the Clerk.

For mail requests, include the full names of all parties, the year the case was filed, and a check or money order payable to the Clerk of the Loudoun Circuit Court. Add a self-addressed stamped envelope so the Clerk can return copies to you. In-person requests are usually processed the same day. Mail requests may take several business days. Land records are also accessible through remote subscription options for qualified users who need frequent access.

Virginia FOIA and Public Access in Loudoun County
